Recruit: Before or after Christmas?

If you already have sign-off to hire, you have nothing to lose by starting now instead of waiting to the new year. Or put another way, you have everything to gain!

 

Here’s why: 

  • You could secure the ideal candidate before Christmas or just over Christmas

  • Many companies wait until January to start recruiting, something which means you have less competition in reaching top talent during November and December

  • Imagine the great candidates you could miss out on by waiting until the new year to launch the position

  • If you start now, you can focus on other important aspects of the business in Q1

  • Even if a signature isn’t secured by year-end, you’ll enter January with solid momentum and a strong candidate pipeline

 

December can be a busy month, but recruiting doesn’t need to take up much of your time. By approaching the process in an agile way, you might be pleasantly surprised!

 

Here is how it would work:

  1. We have a startup meeting (90 minutes) to discuss the position, candidate profile and more

  2. Rede will create all marketing material and launch the position

  3. Rede will start searching the passive candidate market

  4. Rede will interview candidates who then will be ready to meet you after Christmas (or before if you have the time)
